My wife and I would like to thank and praise John and Dan Mollon and their fantastic team.
They were in our lives, our house and our garden for many weeks while they constructed a new kitchen, utility room and cloakroom for us. It was a big project in the busiest part of our home.

One of the nicest things was that any unforeseen problems were easily overcome.
We’re absolutely delighted with the finished project. It’s fantastic and shows attention to detail in every aspect of the build.

Myself and my partner recently had a 2 story extension completed by Barkham Construction. We were over the moon with the quality of the workmanship and cleanliness of how the site was kept throughout the project. The various different trades during the works eg. Plumbers/electricians, were very well organised and punctual to the deadlines provided. The team overall were very pleasant and polite willing to provide advice and recommendations when required. The last touches, down to the lead around the windows took such time and precision to ensure every detail was to a top quality standard. Having recently moved I was looking for a local builder to remove an existing internal wall construction and replace with stud walls and pocket doors. Barkham Construction were recommended to me and I couldn't have asked for a better find. Right from the outset their friendly informative approach to my needs was more than I could have expected and the wait for them to start was definitely worth it.
John guided me through the process and I can honestly say that he, Daniel and the team are the amongst the nicest I have had the pleasure to deal with.

This will have been the third time that we have used John and his team at Barkham Construction. The core team work very well together and we are very happy with the work that they have carried out. They are very professional and co-ordinate specialist trades well. I like the fact that they not only interpret the drawings, but also make suggestions/option on improving the overall design which makes for an improved completed project.
They get top marks for site organisation and cleanliness and several of our neighbours commented on this during the construction period. This is always great to here as during any project we have always tried to minimise any disruptions caused by deliveries and the usual mess that you get on site.
Their experience shines through when faced with problems that either the Architect or Structural Engineer hadn't foreseen and this seems to impress Building Control, which is a good thing.
We would have no hesitations in using John and the team again.

1000 words isn’t enough to share how good Barkham Construction were. From the initial meeting through to building control certificate being issued our experience has been awesome.
Communication was excellent throughout, the craftsmanship was outstanding and if any challenge arose it was just dealt with, without fuss. They were always one step ahead which helped especially during the past year when supplies at times were in short supply and they went above and beyond offering help and advice to us throughout the build.
I think the two things which stood out for us were the numerous
tradespeople, unrelated to the works, who commented on the excellent job Barkham Construction were doing along with the tenacity of BC to get the job finished to our total satisfaction and the site tidiness which again drew admiration from others as well as ourselves.
Would we use Barkham Construction again, absolutely, and we intend to in 2021.

Barkham Construction built the extension/inside conversion on our house at the end of 2018. If it was possible to give more than 5 stars I would. Their work is top notch, professional work and faultless. There were a few issues uncovered when the work started due to the state of the house (previous bodges by the last owner) and they were all sorted easily without fuss.
I thought having your house ripped apart would be stressful but with The BC boys in charge it was the opposite

We have used Barkham Construction for the past 20 or so years and would be the only business that we would consider for construction and general home improvements. Their hard work ethic, quality of work is outstanding and they always clean up at the end of the day to help you try to live a normal life in amongst some major home alterations. We were super happy with Barkham Construction; very efficient, helpful and very tidy. Especially tidiness was very appreciated so much so that my neighbours were complimentary and many are signing up for jobs with John😀. You know when a builder says how long it will take, you automatically add at least 3-4 weeks but with John it was spot on !!!! Dan and Shane were a delight to have around with John and since John handpicks his subcontractors, everyone shows up on time and things get done. Right from the start of the project from the first quote until our extension was finished, John, Dan and the team were absolutely brilliant. The quoting process was very through and professional, they were patient with the changes we made and the prices were very competitive. We were aware of Barkham Construction from friends before we started our work so asked them to quote for the building work to the kitchen and dining room. They were full of ideas and suggestions on how best to approach our build. Everything was always consultative. During the work, any challenges were highlighted immediately with simple explanations. The attention to detail was first-class. They even ensured we had a temporary sink and a working oven while the kitchen was demolished and extended. Every day the site was left tidy. The finish is first class. Everything was checked and checked again. They even take full responsibility for other trades they need to use for things like plumbing and electrics. First-class job from a first-class team.
